Hello Summer!

We live in Texas so the beginning of June is truly the best part of summer. The highs are in the nineties and you can still walk outside and catch a cool breeze. I know there are plenty of people who enjoy being out in 100 degree weather – I’m not one of them. A pool is great, vacationing is fun, but to be fully dressed and spend a day outside in the summer just isn’t enjoyable to me. By the time we reach July I’m all about a good book, sweet iced tea, and some air conditioning {insert praise hands}.

This year we started our summer off at Moody Gardens on Galveston Island.

My niece & daughter watching the otter, look at those sweet little hands!

This white-faced saki monkey did not want to let us pass through to the elevator. We waited until he decided we could move forward with our exploration.

Oh sweet baby boy…

We wanted to check out Palm Beach at Moody Gardens but it wasn’t open so we went to Stewart Beach instead. Elijah put his toes in the ocean for the first time and discovered the calming sound of the waves.

I’ve been to Moody Gardens & Galveston Island many times but I haven’t enjoyed it quite like I did on this trip. I guess it had something to do with seeing the world through the eyes of a child.

Be blessed!
